The Goddess of Wisdom and War is known as Athena. Athena is one of the most powerful goddess in Greek Mythology. Athena’s great- grandmother Gaia had told her son Corus that one of his children would over thrown him and become more powerful. So to avoid this from happening Corus started swallowing his children, his wife Rhea then decided to hide her last son Zeus from Corus. So as it was told Zeus became more powerful and over threw his father and split his father open and Corus spilled all his children out. This has to do with Athena because this is similar to her situation. Gaia had another prophecy that Zeus’ wife Metis would give birth to a powerful daughter and then would give birth to a son who would over thrown Zeus. Zeus found a solution by swallowing Metis while she was pregnant. Zeus believed his plan had worked. For a while, Zeus had been having several headaches causing him to go to Hephaestus to open his head. Then Athena came out ready for war being fully dressed with armor. It is told she is Zeus favorite daughter and she is loyal to him even for what he had done. Athena is the goddess of organized fighting, and strategy. She was often involved in human affairs and picked a side in major battles. She is known for her wisdom and strategy in battles that led the side she was on to victory.
Everyone has a different view of which god or goddess they favor but this is the one I found captivating. I like how Athena is very good in planning and her rational thinking. She had a strong will and a advantage in emotional instincts. She is a representation of controlled strength. This is why she is known as the warrior goddess.
